On March 28th, 2018, “Shanxi Brands on the Silk Road” promotion conference was held at the Celestial Hotel in Bangkok. This was the second promotion event organized by the Shanxi Brands on the Silk Road (ASEAN) following the promotion conference in Malaysia. President Hecai Chen of Shanxi Provincial Council of Trade Promotion, led Shanxi delegation which was composed of bureaus, social organizations and business leaders from Shanxi Provincial Council of Trade Promotion, Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department, Provincial Government Office, Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Provincial Economy and Information Commission, Provincial Finance Department, Provincial Commerce Department, Provincial Culture Department, Provincial Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce and relevant municipal people's governments, Shanxi Branch of China Exim Bank, Shanxi Lu’an Group, Jinhui Zhaolong, etc. attended the event.      In November 2015, Shanxi Brands on the Silk Road was held here. After more than two years later, Silk Road came to this country which is full of charm and development vitality once again. Both Jin and Tai are facing broader room for cooperation and development. Since 2017, senior officials from China and Thailand have reached a consensus on the "Eastern Economic Corridor" docking "The Belt and Road ". As an important node of “The Belt and Road” and a natural connecting point between ASEAN on land and ASEAN on the sea, Thailand’s geopolitical advantages and economic advantages have become increasingly prominent. For our province, strengthening the cooperation and communication with Thailand is great significance to build a new highland for the openness of the interior area.

      At the promotion conference, Provincial Investment Promotion Bureau made a detailed introduction to the Thai industrial and commercial circles center on the province's development of new advantages, key industries, and the “six most” business environment, etc. Provincial Culture Department promoted special cultural exchange programs such as Shanxi stage art, arts and crafts, and intangible cultural heritage, etc. The Economic Development Zone of Yangquan City has promoted local key development industries. After the promotion conference, the provincial government signed a memorandum of friendly province with Bangkok municipal government. The Provincial Culture Department and the Thai-Chinese Culture and Economic Association, the Provincial Council for Trade Promotion and the Thai Import and Export Chamber of Commerce signed the cooperation agreement separately.

      As a member of Shanxi delegation, president Yajuan Li deeply communicated with Prince Celine of Thailand Royal , Consultant Panuala Mizuo of Bangkok City, President Dr.Zhimin Wang of the Asian Area China association for the promotion of peaceful reunification, and Thailand's local bioplastics industry company leader respectively regarding the promotion of Shanxi brands in Thailand, the construction of the Belt and Road, the development of the biodegradable plastics industry and reached preliminary cooperation intentions with relevant Thai companies.
